Consensus Mechanisms

Consensus mechanisms ensure all nodes in a blockchain network agree on the ledger state.

Proof of Work (PoW): Miners solve puzzles to add blocks. Used by Bitcoin.

Proof of Stake (PoS): Validators stake crypto as collateral. Used by Ethereum.

Delegated PoS: Token holders vote for delegates. Faster but more centralized.

Proof of Authority: Pre-approved validators. Fast for private chains.
